Liquid Family - meet Filip Eng

I am thrilled to introduce the newest addition to our Liquid family, Filip, who brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to our team. Joining us from the scenic landscapes of southern Sweden, Filip steps into the role of Solutions Architect with a mission to enhance our automation platforms.

In this interview, Filip shares insights into his journey in the engineering and servicing of liquid food plants, his motivations for joining Liquid, and a glimpse into his passions outside of work. Let's dive into our conversation with Filip and discover what makes him a perfect fit for our global, dynamic team.

Hi Filip, welcome to the team! Liquid is a unique blend of dedicated people from all over the world. From which country are you joining and what will be your main responsibility at Liquid?

Filip: I live in a small house together with my two cats in the south of Sweden. My title is Solutions Architect and my main task will be to structure and improve the automation platforms to make life more easy for everyone involved.

Can you tell us a little about your background, and your experience in the field of engineering and servicing liquid food plants?

Filip: I started my journey as an automation technician at a gypsum factory called Knauf for 4 years. Then I transfer to Mårtensson Consulting as an automation engineer and was employee for 10 years, 9 off them I was consulting for Tetra Pak. Top major project would be as automation leader at a new Nestle plant in France, head of safety programmer for a new Agro-complex mega factory in Russia and for almost 3 years I was training and developing the automation engineers in Tetra Pak China Shanghai office.

What attracted you to join Liquid?

Filip: The last years consulting for Tetra Pak I was in the development team of their Aseptic Tank and as consultant you sometime feel as you never have the final word so when I got the opportunity to join Liquid to be a part of the develop and improvement team it felt like a natural transfer to do at this point of my life.

Our global team are known to be traveling quite a lot.  What’s your thoughts around that?

Filip: Traveling have been involved in my work life for the last 10 years so this is nothing unfamiliar. For me personally to travel is not only a task of work but at the same time its about to explore new places and learn our difference around the world.

Can you tell us one thing outside of work that you are passionate about?

Filip: I like to spend my spare time on cars and sometimes I preform drifting which is a motorsport where you push the car sideways around the track. Last years my passion to brew beer have increased so when I have the opportunity I brew a batch. Recently, I actually brewed my first batch of "Liquid Pale Ale" - it turned out very well :)

You did just recently joined our team – do you have any first impressions of Liquid and your new colleagues that you can share?

Filip: have received a very warm welcome from everyone I have had the opportunity to meet so far and it feels like you have a very open and good team spirit and I am looking forward to meet you all in person someday.

Thank you, Filip for your time and for being a part of the Liquid Family.
