Fred, our own Swiss Army knife, is a key part of our valuable IT-team at the same time as he is managing our office in Costa Rica. Whether it's resolving a complex issue, lending a helping hand to a fellow team member, or providing innovative solutions to enhance our IT infrastructure, Fred is always ready to step up.
Hi Fred, can you please tell us about yourself and your role at Liquid?
Fred: My role in Liquid, well, that depends on which of the 11 years I’ve been with the company you ask!! LOL, I’m currently part of the IT team, specifically focused on the Zoho Ecosystem. I started my journey as IT and now I went back to the team, full circle. I am also the legal rep for our Costa Rica office and take care of legal and payroll for the LCCR staff. Think of me as a Swiss Army knife 😉.
What got you to join Liquid?
Fred: Quoting one of my favorite franchises “to explore new worlds and go where no man has gone before”. I was working for a big tech company on a managerial position in CR when the opportunity literally knocked on my door, so I exchange my cubicle and my business casual attire for a home office, pajamas and flip flops, Daniel sold this job easily and appealed at my curiosity side, I’ve never regretted that decision since I joined Liquid, it has been a blast!!!
How would you explain what Liquid does and which values we try to deliver to our customers?
Fred: We do the impossible, the improbable, the job against all odds, we go over and beyond, we deliver value in every single interaction with our customers and stakeholders, we find the way and we do it with the upmost integrity and honesty. We are an integral and organic solution to every single issue you might find from the factory floor up to the CEO’s conference room. Failure is not an option.
Where do you see that Liquid does a difference for our customers?
Fred: We offer experience, we have been there in the trenches, most of our staff is multidisciplinary, they come from different backgrounds and different corners of the world, I always try to tell new staff joining Liquid, what makes us different, makes us stronger. So, to recap, all this experience gets noticed, we deliver value on multiple fronts.

Fred: There are plenty, but to narrow it down, I would say, freedom with accountability, I believe this has been mentioned before, and it can be taken as a good metric for employee satisfaction. Can you tell us one thing outside of work that you are passionate about?
Fred: Well, I’m a certified nerd, so I like video games, sound synthesis, travel (I honestly believe travel is the best way to learn) and things that go fast and sound loud.
